(Steinenbronn) Telegärtner Karl Gärtner GmbH presents a versatile, flexible distributor for fibre optic cabling. The robust small distributor TOC ODB 68 distributes and protects fibre optic connections both indoors and out. Its applications range from building cabling with FTTH networks to mobile or industrial applications and security technology, and even the Smart Grid. The water-tight case is IP68 rated and can be mounted on walls or ceilings as well as in the floor or on poles.

The new, robust small fibre optic distributor TOC DB 68 protects fibre optic connections even under harsh indoor or outdoor conditions. Its space-saving, robust case is water- and dust-tight to IP68 standards, as well as UV-resistant.
Water-tight, dust-protected distribution
The new product developed by Telegärtner offers reliable protection in harsh environments for building cabling, mobile phone networks or industrial applications. It can also be used in the FTTH network, in security technology or in intelligent power grid applications (Smart Grid). The round housing ensures that cable and fibre excess lengths can maintain the minimum bending radius while also offering additional room for couplers, attenuators and splitters for WDM and FTTH applications.
As a pure splice closure, the TOC ODB 68 can handle up to four splice cassettes with twelve splices each. Four entries allow 4-13 mm cable into the unit. Excess cable lengths can be stored in the housing. In the TICNET variant, the flexible distributor can be used for preassembled TICNET fibre optic cables with a variety of different fibre optic couplings. The TICNET configurator has been updated with a special adapter for this purpose that can be used to screw the fibre optic cable to the distributor in a torsion-free, dust-tight and watertight manner.
